About NearAyo Words
NearAyo Words is a free word game where you find a secret word by meaning. Each guess gets a number: #1 is the secret word itself, and the lower the number, the nearer your guess.
How near two words are comes from a language model trained on a large collection of English text. It learns which words tend to be used in similar ways, so “cat” sits close to “dog” and “toast” sits close to “bread”. Because it learned from real-world writing, a few connections can be surprising.
The levels go from Easy to Expert. Easy words are everyday things, and Expert words are rarer and more abstract. Harder stages also give you fewer hints. The daily word changes at midnight in your own time zone.
